The regions

Where should you stay in Bali?

Most trips split the time between the green hills around Ubud and a stretch of coast. We choose the areas and villas that fit how you travel, arrange private drivers between them and plan the days, so you spend less time in traffic and more time enjoying the island.

April to October is the dry season and the most popular time to visit. November to March brings afternoon showers, greener landscapes and fewer visitors.

There are no nonstop flights from the United States. Most routes connect through an Asian hub such as Singapore, Doha, Tokyo or Hong Kong, for a total of about 22 to 26 hours.

U.S. citizens can currently get a visa on arrival or an e-visa before travel, and Bali charges a tourist levy for international visitors. We confirm the current requirements for your trip.

Eight to ten days allows time for Ubud and one beach area, with day trips to temples and Mount Batur. Add a few days for Nusa Penida or the north.

Yes. Private pool villas, quiet beaches, spa treatments and dinners overlooking the ocean make Bali a favorite for honeymoons. We often pair it with a few days in Singapore.

Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence, falls in March. The whole island pauses for 24 hours, including the airport, and guests stay in their hotels. We plan your dates around it.
