About Traveland

Who we are and how we work

We are a full-service travel agency. We plan and book flights, cruises, resorts, tours, rail journeys and group travel, and handle the details from the first conversation to your flight home.

We have been planning trips since 1978, and we are still family-owned.

We are a family-owned travel agency in Connecticut, with offices at 564 Racebrook Road in Orange (203-929-6000) and 4270 Main Street in Bridgeport (203-371-1114).

Our offices are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

No. You are welcome to visit us in Orange or Bridgeport, but we can also plan everything by phone, by email or on a scheduled call.

Signature Travel Network is a network of independent travel agencies. As a member, we share in its relationships with hotels, cruise lines and tour companies, which supports the trips we plan and book for you.

They are travel industry organizations: the American Society of Travel Advisors, Cruise Lines International Association, the International Air Transport Association and the Airlines Reporting Corporation. IATA and ARC accreditation allow agencies to issue airline tickets.

Planning your trip

How planning with us works

Send us the form on this page, call either office, or choose a time for a call. We start with a conversation about where you want to go, when, and how you like to travel.

Rough travel dates, the number of travelers, the places you have in mind and anything you already know you want or want to avoid. If you are not sure yet, helping you decide is part of what we do.

Planning a trip like this can take many hours of research, comparison and booking. We do that work for you, draw on decades of experience to get the details right, and keep every confirmation in one place, so you can spend that time looking forward to the journey.

For international trips, many travelers begin six to twelve months ahead, especially for peak seasons and holidays. Shorter lead times can still work, and we will tell you what is realistic for your dates.

Start with what you want from the trip, whether that is culture and food, nature and adventure, or time on a beach. We will ask about your interests, travel dates and pace, then suggest the destinations that fit.

Yes. We can plan several destinations as one itinerary, with the flights, transfers and timing arranged so the journey flows.

Yes. If you have already booked part of a trip, we can plan the rest around it.

One of our advisors will reply personally to arrange a conversation about your plans. You can also choose a time for a call directly using the scheduling link on this page.

Before you go

Documents, safety and insurance

Many countries require a passport valid for six months beyond your return date, and some require blank pages. We check the entry requirements for your destination when we plan your trip.

Yes. Since May 7, 2025, travelers 18 and older need a REAL ID-compliant license or another accepted ID, such as a passport, to pass TSA security for domestic flights.

The U.S. State Department publishes travel advisories for every country. We also review current advisories with you before you book.

Contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. The State Department also offers help at 888-407-4747 from the U.S. and Canada, or +1 202-501-4444 from other countries.

For most trips we recommend comprehensive travel insurance to help protect the cost of your trip. We can help you compare options.
