Questions

Questions travelers ask about the Nordics

The Nordic countries are Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, along with Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

The northern lights are typically visible from late August to April in Lapland, northern Norway and Iceland, when nights are dark. Clear skies matter most, so we suggest several nights in the north.

North of the Arctic Circle, the sun stays above the horizon around the clock for part of the summer. It is a wonderful time for hiking, boating and long evenings outdoors.

Yes. Short flights, ferries and trains connect Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki, and Iceland is a few hours away by air. We plan the order and the connections.

Finnish and Swedish Lapland offer glass-roofed cabins, snow hotels and wilderness lodges. We match the stay to your season and comfort preferences.

U.S. citizens need a valid passport and can generally visit for up to 90 days without a visa. Entry rules for Europe are changing, so we confirm the current requirements for your trip.
