Questions

Questions travelers ask about Egypt

October to April is best, with comfortable temperatures for sightseeing. December and January are the busiest months, so we plan early entries to the main sites.

U.S. citizens need a visa, which can usually be obtained online before travel or on arrival. Entry rules change, so we confirm the current requirements for your trip.

Eight to ten days allows time for Cairo and Giza, a three or four night Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, and Abu Simbel.

A cruise ship offers more facilities, while a dahabiya is a smaller sailing boat with only a few cabins and a slower, more personal pace. We help you choose based on your style of travel.

Nonstop flights from New York to Cairo take about eleven hours. We arrange the domestic flights to Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel.

Yes. The Grand Egyptian Museum near the pyramids displays the Tutankhamun collection, and we arrange timed tickets and a private guide.
