The regions
Croatia’s coast is lined with more than 1,200 islands, islets and reefs, and its historic towns include several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Your advisor helps you balance time in the old towns, on the water and inland.
A Roman palace built for Emperor Diocletian forms the historic center of Split, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where his mausoleum became the Cathedral of St. Domnius.
A UNESCO-listed historic center with the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, Kamerlengo Fortress and Ćipiko Palace, a short drive from Split.
Celebrated sunsets, Roman remains, the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun, and the heart-shaped island of Galešnjak offshore.
Terraced lakes, waterfalls and wooden walkways in one of the first places named to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Gentle hills, hilltop towns and a coastline of coves, plus some of Croatia’s best olive oil and white truffles.
Ancient towns, clear water and island light.
One advisor to shape every day around you.
Experiences
Every journey begins with what matters most to you.
Private yacht charters and small-ship cruises between the islands, with calm, clear water.
Hvar, the longest and sunniest Croatian island, and Korčula, with one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the Mediterranean.
Around 130 indigenous grape varieties, Ston oysters, Pag cheese and Istrian truffles.
Thermal springs, spas, cycling and hiking for a slower pace between sightseeing days.

Timing
Croatia is at its best from May to October. June and September bring warm seas with fewer crowds than July and August.
Mild days for Dubrovnik, Split and Plitvice, with the waterfalls at their fullest.
Hot, sunny days and the peak season for sailing and island stays.
Warm seas into October, the grape harvest and truffle season in Istria.
A quiet season for the old towns, with many island hotels closed.
Questions
May, June, September and early October offer warm weather and sea temperatures with fewer crowds than July and August.
Ten days allows time for Dubrovnik, Split and an island or two. Two weeks lets you add Plitvice Lakes and Istria. We plan the order and the connections.
Both work well. A private yacht charter or small-ship cruise lets you wake up in a new harbor each day, while island hotels suit a slower pace. Many travelers combine the two.
Highlights include the old town of Dubrovnik, Diocletian’s Palace in Split, the historic center of Trogir and Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Croatia has around 130 indigenous grape varieties, and Crljenak Kaštelanski is the origin of Zinfandel. Look for Ston oysters, Pag cheese, peka, pašticada from Split and truffles from Istria.
U.S. citizens need a valid passport and can generally visit Croatia for up to 90 days without a visa. Entry rules for Europe are changing, so we confirm the current requirements for your trip.
